Yorke Peninsula – Christmas Trip 2022 – Day 13

Day 13 Yorke Peninsula

Today we decide that we are moving on. Even though Barkers Rocks on the Yorke Peninsula is beautiful the wind and bad weather makes it time to move on. We have researched and decided to move further up the coast and end up at Moonta. (Moonta Bay | Copper Coast | Yorke Peninsula (visitcoppercoast.com.au).

Moonta has a wonderful low cost camp ground at the end of town. There is water available and a dump point only a few 100mts down the road. What a brilliant set up.

We end up here for a few days as we are waiting on Australia Post to find a missing parcel. While waiting we decided to buy a stoneshield for the van.

One we received the call that the parcel had been found we jump in the car and head to Port Pirie to pick up our parcel. We take the time to look around and find a great RSL Museum, we missed it by 10mins but will make sure we check this out on our way back through.

We checked out Port Brighton on the way back to Moonta via Kadina. On our travels a Hungry Jacks was spotted. We have not seen a Fast food place we have seen since Christmas Day. Maarten has decided as it is his Birthday tomorrow HJ’s was on the menu.

Back to Moonta it is time to find a cake and get read for a big Birthday tomorrow. One thing we have found hard to get use to is the length of the days. The sun seems to stay up forever of a evening. Im excited for tomorrow….
