Day 5: Longreach to Winton

Start: 1245

Today we were under the fridge’s whim. We called Joseph from TRACCS and he is coming out at about 9am and the lovely hosts at the Longreach Tourist Park have let us stay till the fridge is fixed… hopefully we can continue and finish out trip.

Joseph came out and it seems that the fridge is not healthy. We are trying to create a bypass to get the fridge to run. We also found out the toilet leaked, which if you could imagine was a “shit of a job” to clean every day. LOL…. The toilet ended up being an easy fix.. As a side note we got the replacement seal from Mitre 10 at Longreach, we also found that they had a brilliant range of caravan and camping accessories including tent latches, hoses, vent lids, toilet chemicals and at VERY reasonable prices…. WELL DONE MITRE 10 LONGREACH…

We grabbed a pie and a sausage roll from the Merino Bakery on the way out of town… YUMMMMMM..

We travelled the 179kms to Winton and made camp at the Matilda Country Caravan Park. Christian and I took off downtown to book the Dinosaur trail tickets and we start our adventure tomorrow…
