We are still in Bowen today, after not even looking to stay in Bowen we have been here 2 days.

We woke up this morning to rain and decided to not risk travelling today and take advantage of another night in Bowen.

The plan was today to take off this morning and check out the murals in Bowen come back tot he park and pick up the van and head to Collinsville.

With the change in plans, I took off with the boys for the shops and back to pick up Maarten and headed into Bowen to the murals. The boys loved jumping in and out of the car to take photos.

After lunch we drove to Collinsville to check out the Coalface Experience. This is a wonderful museum full of coal mining history and also the Mine disaster on the 15 October 1954 in which 7 men lost their lives.

There is a lookout in the middle of town and it is worth the drive as well.

We are loving this travelling as a family…
